Healthcare
In this video, Leigh discusses the importance of using an art consulting firm to assist with concept, collaboration and execution for large, multi-faceted projects. In this clip, she specifically talks about working with us and Texas Children’s Hospital.

“Jan Marion and Pam Rosenberg worked to ensure that the artwork complimented each unique setting and yet came together as a complete program; consistent with our vision for the patient experience and brand.
I was thrilled with the artwork in the Presence Center for Advanced Care. It helped create a unique healthcare setting and supported the interior design by CRTKL which won first place in the Healthcare category of the 2016 American Society of Interior Designers Illinois Design Excellence Awards.
The artwork on the Diamond Headache Unit helped create a calming and reassuring environment for patients arriving from across the country.
Jan and Pam collaborated with the team to create an art program for the Emergency Department that aimed to create a soothing environment for patients arriving with a broad array of emergency healthcare needs. Their understanding of our vision and willingness to partner resulted in wonderful selections that celebrate Presence Saint Joseph Hospital’s unique location overlooking Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan.”
“I have worked with H. Marion for over 4 years here at Rush. In that time, we have tackled a variety of different project types, sizes, and complexity. Their design skills are excellent and they bring a creative touch to all projects. I appreciate their attention to detail and their use of themed art has had a very positive effect on both patients and staff. I highly recommend H. Marion for all your art needs.”
“We were looking to update one of our senior facilities and wanted to get some interior design ideas. We had success in the past doing our building remodeling ideas internally, but we wanted to see if there were some ideas that could be added to our thoughts. What we quickly found out after our first meeting with Pam Rosenberg from H Marion is that we needed to put our thoughts and opinions aside and let her be free to come up with fresh ideas. She asked us what we wanted to accomplish and then came back to us shortly thereafter with various options. We discussed the options and fit them to our remodeling budget, with Pam doing an excellent job of analyzing what works best for us operationally and financially. Once we began the construction, Pam did a wonderful job of coordinating the remodeling process with our contractors along with purchasing the products needed. Our remodeling project came out better than we would have hoped. The project came in on budget, but more importantly, our senior tenants are enjoying a newly designed atmosphere that we could not have accomplished without Pam and H Marion. Much thanks to Pam from Barton Healthcare and its appreciative tenants.”
“As a lover of art, I cannot help but tell people how much I am enjoying the collection we selected for the Jennie Sealy Hospital. When we chose the different pieces, we made our selections with patients and visitors in mind. Our goal was to create a welcoming environment by providing a connection to nature and our own Galveston beach community. Today, as I walk the hallways of Jennie Sealy Hospital, I still find it remarkable how the art collection transformed the patient care and public spaces. The pieces are so beautifully illuminated by the natural light throughout the facility—it creates a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. I feel as though the art we chose offers beautiful depictions of what those who live in Galveston experience, as well as what tourists and visitors see of the area, like seabirds, dramatic landscapes of the gulf, and glimpses into the history of the island. Close ups of natural objects like plants and seashells convey the texture of surfaces so vividly. Florence Nightingale is quoted as saying, ‘Never underestimate the healing effects of beauty.’ I feel like the art we selected offers our patients and their loved ones something else to think about beyond the fact that they are in a hospital environment. The art collection that Marion and Associates worked with us to develop truly represents the healing effects of art and grounds the hospital in the communities we serve.Jan and Pam were exceptional to work with, and really understood our vision and our budget. The process for selecting the art was technology driven, making the best use of my mine. Their attention to detail and follow through made this an excellent experience. We also wanted to use local artists to the extent that we could to show support for those artists in our community. Jan and Pam worked tirelessly to assure that we had great representation from local artists as well as the Greater Houston area artists.
The best reference is whether or not someone would use them again, and we did. They helped us develop and hang the collection at our League City Campus, and are heavily involved in the art for our new entrance to the Health System complex. I can wholeheartedly endorse Marion and Associates.”

“From the initial point of contact, requesting preliminary budget numbers, Jan and his team were very timely, and thorough in the responses to all of our questions and requests. What started as a preliminary budget developed into a multi-phase art program for a large downtown commercial property. They provided an expertise in artwork content as well as installation, and worked diligently with us to meet the Owner’s needs and ultimately deliver a great project.”
“H. Marion was selected as a partner to provide creative direction in the selection and purchase of artwork for display in ASA’s newly built headquarters building located in Schaumburg, IL. Jan and Kati were great to work with from start to finish, and held our hand every step of the way. They provided guidance and expertise as necessary, but also ensured that the end product met our initial vision and requirements. The project completed on time and within budget. The artwork is the perfect complement to our modern building. We are extremely satisfied with the end result, and would highly recommend H. Marion to others.”
“When IOP contacted H. Marion for assistance with our newly expanded office, we knew we needed help reimagining our existing art collection. We were hoping for a process that would help us to identify our office style and do so with minimal disruption to the decision makers’ busy schedules. Your guidance and expertise allowed us to arrive at our creative vision on our terms. The results speak for themselves, and our office looks amazing. In fact, our guests routinely compliment our art choices. The artwork is creative, original and brings depth and color to our office. We appreciated that you and Pam were involved in every step of our project, from art selection to procurement to installation, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.”
“The addition of your art has transformed the Austin space. The pieces are outstanding and people are walking around to admire it. Thank you for an amazing project.”
Residential
“Marion Art professionals, Jessica and Jan, have helped us complete a wide range of projects from start to finish: reframing several old oil paintings to match the character of the art, mounting an heirloom needlepoint, handling and preserving a monster wall sized map, identifying a new and complementary molding to add to an antique mirror to modernize its size, and brainstorming frame and presentation ideas for carved wood panels, and then finally to professional installation of the projects. Jessica has a great eye for scale, color, proportion and how to harmonize the old with the new to create a fresh perspective. Jan’s skilled assessment of how to organize and place the art made the installation painless. They are enthusiastic professionals who stand behind their work and have made each project great fun. A team to count on!”
I love the framing. We didn’t do anything super-complex, but the framing is elegant and brings the photos to life. I love the little touches as well. We are very happy with the work. Thank you again.
“The team at H. Marion has helped us make our first house feel like home. Jessica Neyt, with her raw talent for choosing frames to fit each and every one of our unique pieces, has accompanied us on all of our journeys through this process. From making home visits to evaluate space, to ensuring the highest quality framing is at our disposal, she and the whole team at H. Marion have made sure that we love every step of the process. We feel very fortunate to have found such professionals at H. Marion. The thoughtfulness that goes into each job is obvious. Thank you, team!”
