H. Marion was selected to provide turn-key services for this replacement hospital for our ability to create a Midwest themed art program which primarily featured local artists. This community, which is located on the West bank of the Wisconsin River, is unique with respect to its high concentration of talented, professional artists. Although the client was intent on utilizing local talent, it was our job to curate an art program that was less “artsy” and appealing to the executive art committee in favor of a Midwestern healing program and potentially more relatable to the rural communities who will utilize the hospital. Not only does this program feature mostly local talent, but a nice mix of dimensional works, painterly, and photographic depictions of the region during all 4 seasons.
